In Kiseljak on October 27, 2022, the conference “Presentation of the project Balkan Women Coalition-B-WCo II / Social Start-Up Booster to support women’s entrepreneurship in the Balkans and talk with all levels of government” was held.

At the beginning, we introduced the project and its results to those present. They discussed the advantages and opportunities of social entrepreneurship, as well as obstacles and legal regulations.

Ambassador Christine Toudic spoke about social entrepreneurship in France.

We invited them to discuss the detected problems together and try to find solutions for some of them together, with particular satisfaction that at the Conference itself, through 2 panels, all levels of government took part, as well as representatives of the Foreign Trade Chamber and the FBiH Employment Office.

Through a really constructive discussion, we reached the conclusions of the conference:

  1. Adopting a law on social entrepreneurship, it may be necessary to adopt a legal framework for social entrepreneurship.
  2. Work on creating new codes of activities in order to monitor the trend of development of new occupations, which will be adapted to social entrepreneurship.
  3. More incentives from all levels of government for establishment, as well as for companies working in the sphere of social entrepreneurship.
  4. Strengthen inspection services in preventing the gray economy, which especially threatens small businesses owned by women.
  5. Strengthen the infrastructure in local communities as a support for women, such as kindergartens, extended stays, old people’s homes, patrol services, to help the elderly, infirm and sick.
  6. Improve access to health care, especially in rural areas. It is a devastating fact that gynecological examinations in some rural areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina are not available to women at all.
  7. Work on solving the problem of registration of agricultural farms in the tourism segment, due to the lack of a use permit for facilities on the farm. Assistance in connecting representatives of local communities – Cantons and the FBiH Ministry of Tourism will be provided by the adviser in the FBiH Government, Mrs. Aida Soko.
  8. To establish a Club of Entrepreneurs within EENNa in VTK BiH with the support of the President, Vice President of VTK BiH, Mr. Vjekoslav Vuković.
