On Thursday, November 25th 2021, SEGE – Greek Association of Women Entrepreneurs organized B-WCo’s Multiplier Workshop at Porto Palace Hotel, Thessaloniki. The event attracted 23 participants in total. The participants were mostly representatives from BSOs, women entrepreneurs, wannabe entrepreneurs and mentors.

The event intended to promote the project to a wide network of stakeholders and to present its results. The President of SEGE and Project Manager of B-WCo II project, Mrs. Apostolina Tsaltampasi, opened the event and presented the project to the participants. During the second session, Mrs. Athanasia Ioannidou, B-WCo’s trainer, presented the online platform and briefly the educational materials being developed by the project partners. At session 3, Mrs. Ioannidou presented the facilitators guide and the exercises included. At the last session we elaborated a discussion about the B-WCo’s methodology and how it achieved to develop transferable competences for female social entrepreneurship.

The participants were able to freely express themselves and asked questions about the procedures that the partners followed to implement the project. They were impressed of the different thematic of the training materials and the methodology that we followed for their development.

The event also served as an opportunity to discuss the Booster Circle programmes that will be offered next year. At present, most training and mentoring opportunities are offered as part of internships, training paths, or employment incentive. The discussions have been on the opportunities, limits and difficulties of developing and implementing such programmes, future prospects and obstacles to overcome to allow more women to be involved in those initiatives both as trainers/mentors and trainees/mentees.
